A few weeks ago the Councillor for Infrastructure, Mr. Victor Valverde met with the president of the Association of Merchants and Hoteliers of Orihuela, Mr. Ascensio Perez, to explain the work done in the repair of the wiring of Calle Mayor.
For some years now, the Calle Mayor has been left in darkness when it rains, affecting shopkeepers and neighbors who live in one of the most important commercial streets of Orihuela.
After the improvement, there had been no further rainfall, so it had not been possible to verify the results. After the rains of this weekend, and no blackout, ACMO is glad that the demand made to the consistory has had an effect and finally in the Ramón y Cajal main street there are no blackouts when it rains.
