From November 18 to 30 in different bars and restaurants of the municipality.
The Association of Traders of the Municipality of Orihuela (ACMO) in collaboration with the City Council have organized the IV Contest of Rice and Crust to be held during the two weeks from 18 to 30 November with € 1,000 in prizes.
The president of ACMO, Ascensio Perez, highlights the importance of gastronomy within the municipality. “With this event we intend to give a boost to the hospitality sector of Orihuela, in addition to promoting our most important dish, rice and crust.”
It will count with the participation of: Bar Estanco, Bar Mani’s, Casa Pepe, D’Davinia Martínez, Finca Pico del Águila, Haizea Gastrobar, La Esquina Bar, Mi Vecino Jose and Raggú; who will prepare their rice and crust on different days and a jury composed of different Orihuela organizations will carry out the tastings for subsequent assessment.
This edition will culminate on November 30 with the COSTRAFEST on the terrace of the Hotel Tudemir with live music. You can taste the different rice dishes cooked by our restaurateurs in addition to the live awards ceremony.
In order to attend this event ACMO will raffle 20 double tickets for purchases over 15 € that people make from 24 to 26 November in the associated trade and hospitality.
