ORIHUELA, August 29, 2023 – The Association of Traders of the Municipality of Orihuela (ACMO) celebrates excellent news that reaffirms the commitment of local authorities to the commercial sector. At a recent meeting, the Governing Board of Orihuela has awarded a grant amounting to 45,452.27 euros, intended for the promotion and animation of commercial activities for the current year.
Founded in 1992, ACMO has worked tirelessly to promote small commerce in the city and defend the interests of its more than 200 members. This new investment reflects the value and trust that the institutions place in the crucial role played by the association in boosting the local economy.
Vicente Pina, councilman of Commerce, expressed his strong support for the sector by stating that “support for local commerce is a concern of this council. We will maintain these aids that reinforce the structure and the commercial dynamization of this municipality”.
Of the total amount, ACMO will benefit from 40,452.27 euros, which will be invested in various strategies. These include sales promotion through discount vouchers, activities for children, window dressing and the organization of fashion shows. These actions are aligned with ACMO’s mission to make Orihuela’s commerce a more attractive and competitive sector.
In parallel, the Chamber of Commerce has been favored with an allocation of 5,000 euros for the celebration of the Night of the Economy. An initial payment corresponding to 80% of the total amount has also been approved, totaling 36,361.82 euros.
It is undeniable that these subsidies will contribute to the strengthening and expansion of commerce in Orihuela. In turn, they reiterate the need and relevance of continuing to support associations such as ACMO, which are dedicated to improving the business environment and, therefore, the lives of its citizens.
